KEIKI HULA COMPETITION
Established in 1976, the Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition began as part of a festival and pageant in A’ala Park organized by KPC&A.  The hula competition itself was one of many events included in the festival with only six halau competing that first year.  Since then, the Keiki Hula Competition has grown into one of the most well established hula competition for children in the State of Hawai’i.  Today hundreds of children from twenty-five halau come every year to dance in three days of exciting hula competition.  For many of our dancers, the Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition is just a stepping stone into the world of competitive hula.
