Did You Know.......

 

In the hakihaki a pupil was made to kneel with buttocks resting on the heels, then the instructor stepped upon the legs above the knees to keep them on the floor.  The pupil bent backward until the back of his head touched the floor while her hands were held by the instructor.  Another method was to hug a post and revolve the hips as much as possible.
