Something To Think About...

What you believe to be right or what you had been taught as correct in the dance, chant and so forth, is not always the only way!  Each kumu hula and their haumana have different traditions.

Because of the many individuals that have come before us and the many after that have and will add their own personal traits to what they have learned and will learn will evolve into their own traditions and style.  This is how the hula continues to evolve, as a living art!

It is important to hold on to those traditions you had been taught, for it will be your foundation.
